You swept our Amy off her feet and gave her THE most appropriate 'Amy' surname. Forever the romantic, she was just born to be a Hartley! We have so many wonderful memories of you- most involving a bottle of red and all involving lots of laughter. You, 'on your soapbox' with Amy rolling her eyes in the background ;-) Your sense of mischief, your comic timing and facial expressions that have been so wonderfully inherited by Mia; your kindness, charm and boyish good looks, by Ol and your intelligence and love of dodgy football teams by Caitlyn. We cannot wait to see more of you in your baby daughter and know that you will be watching on, forever the proud daddy and husband. There will be MANY of us convinced that we still see you in Sainsburys. That we still hear your one-liners and your laughter at BBQ's and other get togethers. Remembering your advice on where to shop, what to buy and how to cook the perfect........ I was so proud to be one of yours and Amy's bridesmaids (even though you made me wear pink!) and it was a happy and magical day. However, the 'Andy story' that perhaps makes me chuckle most is from when you and Amy came to visit when I lived in Doncaster. My ex going downstairs in the morning and returning sharpish to express his horror at discovering you parading around the kitchen, making tea, in the smallest, tightest pair of white boxers imaginable! When we all came down there you were, still wearing nothing but your boxers, happy and content, chatting away with a nice brew for a good hour or more! You have brought so much joy to people's lives and will be missed so very, very much. Amy, your children and your wider family are surrounded by people who love you and who love them. We promise that we will look after them always and forever. Rest well our wonderful friend. Love always, Lisa, James, Harry & Ava xxxxxx
