The print job that added to our grey hairs

Andy was part of my sisters school gang, 8 years older than me, meant that often I was babysat by Andy and my sisters friends Even back then, my memory was Andy’s cheeky grin and even though I was the young kid who I am sure they didn’t want around, Andy always gave me the time of day. This was evident at my sisters 21st, me, now a teenager and thinking he was the most gorgeous thing since sliced bread. Years went by and other than the odd meet around Macclesfield and the obligatory bumping into in Sainsbury’s I didn’t see Andy. Until one day a colleague was bringing someone in who would be managing our print needs. Little did I know it was Andy, we met with open arms, a hug and a kiss like I had only seen him yesterday. We talked about Amy, Ross and the kids, Mike and Abersoch and our princess girls and how Mia had him wrapped around his little finger. We were then lucky enough to work with Andy for the next 2.5 years. Andy and I worked on one of the most difficult print jobs I have ever done. The client changed their mind as often as their socks, bizarre requests, changes and questions followed and although I think we both must have gained a few grey hairs (in fact I remember joking about this with him), he never lost his patience. Always providing a solution, always saying no problem and always with a smile. He made a nightmare project, a joy. Andy was brilliant at his job. I will miss working with him so much. I feel honored to have done so and thankful I could call him my friend. xxxxx
